Legacy Outdoor Adventures and Juniper Canyon Recovery Center for Women
are thrilled to announce that they will be collaborating with other therapeutic programs and companies in their effort to spread awareness about wilderness therapy and the efficacy of outdoor and adventure-based therapy.
The ten programs who have signed up to be National Sponsors of the entire series are aligned in their belief in the power of experiential therapies such as nature-based mental health and wellness initiatives. While not all of the programs are “wilderness” programs, all of the National Sponsor programs support the mission of Cityscape Adventure Series. National Sponsors will be attending many of the adventures throughout the year and are also helping to spread the word about each event. In addition, each event will provide opportunity for Legacy, Juniper Canyon, and the National Sponsors to network with programs and professionals locally to further the spirit of collaboration.
Located in Boulder, Colorado, Choice House helps men struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues find a life full of meaning and purpose through honesty, integrity, and willingness.
EDGE Wellness is a wellness community in Chicago committed to supporting college students striving for academic and social success. EDGE Advance is a transitional program for neurodiverse young adults. Utilizing a clinically integrated coaching model, the goal of EDGE Advance is to create a path for emerging young adults to develop the habits and skills necessary to lead autonomous lives of purpose.
Co-founded by internationally recognized healthcare and video-analytic experts, the Videra Health platform and mobile app that tracks health and wellness. Videra allows patients to remotely and asynchronously check-in and engage with their providers with video-based survey questions and assessments.
In Balance was founded by Patrick and Betsy Barrasso who still own and operate all of the programs with the help of their three children and many amazing staff. In Balance Continuum consists of In Balance Intensive Outpatient program, In Balance Academy, In Balance Transitional Living and In Balance Sober Living.
The Grounds Recovery is a transitional living program for young men (18-30) in San Diego. Clients enrolling at The Grounds have struggled with substance use and addiction, and who have completed a primary treatment, wilderness, therapeutic boarding school or other intervention.
Hired Power is a group of recovery professionals that provide an empowering and impressive range of services in a compassionate, healing environment that gives people and families opportunity for long term success and happiness.
Skyline Recovery is located in scenic Bend, Oregon. Their mission is to set young people onto a path of recovery from substances, trauma, and life difficulties. They utilize 12-step recovery, sober coaching, cutting edge clinical modalities, family work, rites of passage experiences, and connection with a community of like-minded peers to navigate this transition.
Summit Achievement is a treatment center for teens and young adults located in the beautiful White Mountains Region of Maine. Through the process of engaging therapy, classroom academics and exciting wilderness expeditions, students experience the therapeutic benefit of outdoor adventure-based activities while learning to manage the demands of a more traditional environment.
NorthStar Transitions is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Northstar uses evidence based therapeutic modalities, personalized treatment plans, and has a highly trained and experienced staff. They’re located in the serene and majestic setting of Boulder, Colorado.
PACE Recovery Center is an exclusive, gender-specific, extended care, mental health, alcohol and drug rehab for men struggling with mental health and behavioral issues in Southern California. Clients have the opportunity to be part of the most exciting and dynamic 12-step recovery communities.
Legacy Outdoor Adventures and Juniper Canyon Recovery Center for Women are on a mission to connect people to the healing power of nature and to educate on the current trends in outdoor behavioral healthcare.
