DR. Madolyn M. LIEBING
The creation of Juniper Canyon and the curriculum designed specifically to treat young adult women was guided by the well-known Psychologist, LMFT, and OBH Eagle Award Recipient Dr. Madolyn (“Maddy”) Liebing. With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Liebing is a clinical leader in the field of recovery and trauma treatment. As the Clinical Director at Juniper Canyon Treatment Center and Legacy Treatment Center, she has supervised and trained numerous staff members and clinicians. Her passion is for incorporating the outdoors as an active participant in treatment that naturally facilitates healing, balance, and health. She is especially attuned to women’s issues including treating addiction, mental health issues, trauma/PTSD, anxiety and depression. She is trained and experienced in Adventure Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Equine Therapy, Family Sculpting, Attachment Therapy/Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I love to watch the process and to be a part of such a dynamic way to help people.” Dr. Liebing also facilitates psychological testing and is recognized for having accurate and individualized testing that helps to support and inform treatment and life planning.With a background in education, she is aware of how therapeutic curriculum serves to form a foundation for recovery and has helped design a curriculum for Juniper Canyon which is specific to the unique way women view the world and themselves.
